So, I’m determined to finish the first draft of the second in the Aeternum series by the end of this year. That’s right folks, I need roughly 50,000 more words in the next 8 months. Easy right? Not when you live in my head... or my life. Mostly I think that 50,000 words isn't enough to complete the story.
But, despite the inexhaustible amount of adulting that falls in my lap every day I still want to accomplish this. I’ve fleshed out my monthly word goals and I want to stick to them. I have innumerable goals I work towards as often as life allows, most revolving around my health because I got saddled with some less than idle genetics. The rest are creative. I do, however, push to burn out more often than I care to admit, and I end up losing a lot of time trying to recover. This is not helpful, I am aware. I grew up in a “push through it” environment so it’s been very deeply ingrained in me to go forth despite this proverbial self-crippling. I’ve got some self-development to do, I know. I’m working on it! Gods... Anyways, tell me if you write, how you write, how often, and what you strive for. Leave comments, send me a contact email! Let’s talk about this struggle we find so fulfilling.
